Principals Last Day 25 May

After 42 years of service to state education, with the last 8 1/2 years at Elwood Primary, I have decided to retire.

The school is in a fantastic position in all areas and will continue to grow.  Terrific academic results, exceptionally strong parent, staff and student results and community involvement which is second to none.  I have enjoyed the challenges of being the Principal of this great school, which has been the most rewarding of my career.

I will be having a partial knee replacement mid-term 2 and will not be returning to Elwood PS.  I will not be seeking any other principal positions, as nothing could compare to leading Elwood PS.  I will pursue other education interests in a part time capacity including coaching and mentoring principals and school leaders, and working with schools to develop their culture and performance.  I also intend to do some travelling and spend more time with family who haven't seen much of me over the lst 8 1/2 years!

My last day at Elwood PS will be Friday 25 May.  Nicole Richards will be Acting Principal from this date and all through Term 3.  A selection process will be held during Term 3 with a new principal appointed to commence in Term 4 2018.

I would like to thank our wonderful community including parents, staff and students for their support during my time at Elwood PS; I will miss all of you, but look forward to the next stage of my life.
